Franz Schubert
At 18 years old Franz Schubert had written nearly 200 songs (including two of his best), 3 masses,
3 symphonies, and enough piano and chamber music to keep the elevators of the world in lifetime supply. In 1897, the
100th anniversary of Schubert's birth was marked by festivals and performances dedicated to his music. By 1928 Schubert
was so famous that an entire week was held in Europe and the United States to mark the centenary of his death - at the
age of 31! But I'm sure you play chopsticks beautifully.
