At age 25 Ray Charles started his own band, recorded with Quincy Jones and had a number one R&B hit.
Even though Charles lost his sight at 5, never knew his father, lost his mother, and dropped out of school at 15, he
went on to be number 10 on the list of greatest artists of all time and number 2 on Rolling Stone's greatest singers
of all time. Even Billy Joel said that Charles was more important than Elvis. While most people with 20/20 barley
finish the dishes, Charles also won 17 Grammys.
